Also called mixed peel, candied citrus peel, sukade, succade
Chopped citrus peel candied in sugar syrup; for fruit cakes, Christmas bakes, krentenbollen and stollen.

Sweet and chewy in fruit cakes but no citrus flavour.

Mostly vine fruit with only a little peel; less citrus.

Fresh zest with a little sugar: citrus aroma but no chewy candied pieces. (use 0.25× the amount)
