Cili boh
Also called chilli boh, dried chilli paste, Malaysian chilli paste
Malaysian paste of soaked dried chillies blended smooth. The base of sambal, rendang, nasi lemak sambal and Malaysian curries.
What can replace it
- T2 · GoodDried chillies
Soak, then blend into a paste with a little water. (use 0.4× the amount)
- T2 · GoodDried long red chillies
Soak, then blend into a paste with a little water. (use 0.4× the amount)
- T2 · GoodSambal oelek
Fresher, saltier and more vinegary; reduce salt.
- T3 · In a pinchRed chilli powder
Mix with water; hotter and flatter, with less colour. (use 0.25× the amount)
Cook with Cili boh
