Also called hari mirch paste, green chili paste
Fresh green chillies ground with salt and sometimes oil or vinegar; grassy and hot. A quick base for Indian curries, chutneys and marinades.

What can replace it
- T2 · GoodBird's eye chillies
Hotter; blend and use about half. (use 0.5× the amount)
- T2 · GoodJalapeños
Milder and fleshier; blend and use more. (use 1.5× the amount)
- T2 · GoodSerrano chillies
Blend with a pinch of salt.
- T3 · In a pinchGreen hot sauce
Thinner and vinegary; reduce other acid.
- T3 · In a pinchSambal oelek
Red, salty and vinegary; changes colour and seasoning.
