Also called blue poppy seeds, maanzaad
Tiny blue-black seeds with a nutty taste; scattered over breads and rolls, and used in cakes, fillings and dressings.
What can replace it

Larger and nuttier; a similar dark speckle and crunch on bread.
- T2 · GoodWhite poppy seeds
Milder and pale; fine in baking and thickening but no dark speckle.
- T3 · In a pinchChia seeds
Similar size but bland, and gels when wet; use only in dry toppings.
