Wasabi paste
Also called wasabi
Green paste, usually horseradish with some wasabi, mustard flavour and colour; sharp, nose-tingling heat for sushi, sashimi and dressings.
What can replace it

Mustard heat rather than wasabi; more lingering and less fragrant. (use 0.75× the amount)
- T2 · GoodPrepared horseradish
Coarser and less green-herbal, with a similar sinus-clearing heat.
- T3 · In a pinchEnglish mustard
Hot but clearly mustardy and yellow; use sparingly. (use 0.5× the amount)
